Marketing Campaigns Manager

£24,000-£25,000 per annum

4 or 5 days a week, applications to do the role part-time (80%) would be considered from suitably qualified candidates

 

As an award-winning performing dance company touring across Wales, the UK and internationally, NDCWales has a wide ranging programme of work designed to reach different audiences. The company presents work by international and UK-based choreographers in venues of different scales, and reaches beyond theatres, creating collaborations with companies in Wales and beyond.

 

NDCWales wishes to appoint a Marketing Campaigns Manager to co-ordinate marketing campaigns and activities promoting NDCWales on tour, projects in the community and activities at the Dance House; developing strong partnerships with tour venues to ensure that the company builds audiences and engagement activities.

 

The role will be supported by a programme of training and development to assist the post-holder in the strategic development of audiences, brand development and management. Applicants need to be willing to learn Welsh within 1-2 years of starting the role.

National Dance Company Wales (NDCWales) is one of the UK’s leading dance companies and plays an important role in leading the dance sector in Wales. It commissions and presents the work of choreographers not otherwise seen in the UK. Based at the Dance House at Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, it tours widely in Wales, the UK and overseas and hosts a wide variety of dance programmes at its base.

 

NDCWales have received funding for a three-year audience development project at four key Priority Venues in England including; Derby Theatre, The Grand Theatre Blackpool, Lawrence Batley Theatre Huddersfield and Theatre Severn Shrewsbury.

 

The Company is looking for a passionate individual with a contemporary dance background, local to either Derby, Blackpool, Huddersfield or Shrewsbury, to lead on engaging with new audiences through participatory activity. The ideal candidate would have completed a vocational training program, links within their community, experience of evaluation and monitoring projects and must have experience of teaching dance.
