As well as producing and performing our own work at the Dance House, National Dance Company Wales also encourages other performers, artists and the general public to benefit from the excellent facilities in the Dance House. This enables us to engage with the public, thereby creating awareness of the Company and the work it creates and presents.

Dance House Performances:

Passionate about bringing unique and innovative dance to Cardiff, National Dance Company Wales presents dance performances at the Dance House in association with Wales Millennium Centre. Check out our What's On Where page to see what is coming up at the Dance House.

Open Class:

When we are in residence at the Dance House, classes are sometimes open to people with an interest in dance such as visual artists who wish to sketch, individuals looking for creative ideas or inspiration, or simply those interested in observing a dance class at professional level.

Taster Sessions:

To encourage new audiences, National Dance Company Wales regularly opens its doors to people who have never seen a contemporary dance performance before. The Company is keen to engage new audiences and the Taster Sessions invite people to see what we do in a relaxed environment at the Dance House by bring them in to watch sections of company class and the current repertoire. The work is explained with notes on the choreographers' inspiration and ideas within each production. Audience members are also invited to speak to the dancers and staff about forthcoming performances.
