Artistic Director

National Dance Company Wales is seeking an exceptional individual with the imagination and experience to provide artistic leadership for the Company as it enters its next phase of development. 

National Dance Company Wales is one of the UK’s leading dance companies and plays an important role in leading the dance sector and nurturing talent in Wales.  It aims to present a variety of work not otherwise seen by audiences in the UK.  Based at the Dance House at Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, it tours widely in Wales, the UK and globally and has responsibility for the imaginative use of the excellent facilities at its base.

NDCWales is looking for a creative leader who has a strong vision for the future of this repertory dance company. NDCWales welcomes applications from choreographers, curators of dance, creative producers and individuals from other creative backgrounds in dance.  A collaborative leadership style and a vision for NDCWales’ role as a national company of Wales are essential.

The successful candidate will need to have a strong creative track record, have experience of artistic leadership and be committed to the professional development of dance artists.

Marketing & Engagement Manager

Salary £28,000 - £30,000

NDCWales seeks an experienced arts marketer with a strong commitment to building long-term, sustainable relationships with audiences. Responsibilities include working as part of NDCWales senior management team, guiding and implementing the design and delivery of strategic audience development campaigns focused on new and existing audiences, as well as delivering a pioneering strand of participation and engagement.


This role offers a unique development opportunity for a marketing professional with an interest in developing skills and experience in integrating marketing, participation and engagement as a strategic approach to developing audiences for dance.  



Programme Administrator

Salary £20,500

NDCWales is looking for a Programme Administrator to be responsible for the management and promotion of the Dance House, OuseHincluding external hire of the studio spaces and managing company projects. Candidates should have experience of administering or managing artistic programmes and performing arts spaces, and a good understanding of the role and practicalities of community and education arts projects.
