Dance Courses

In the Easter & Summer school holidays we run week long courses for different age groups and abilities.  The courses are designed to give those interested in dance the opportunity to be a part of and receive training from a professional international contemporary dance company.

Spring Dance Course

Spring Dance Course is a 4 day workshop that enhances basic levels of contemporary dance.

Participants will be led through various activities by our Company dancers including developing technical ability, gaining skills in dance improvisation, and learning choreography.

This course is ideal for those who have some dance experience and want to develop their knowledge and passion for the contemporary style.

Spring Dance Course is suitable for those who have attended regular dance classes for at least a year (Ballet, Contemporary, NDCWales Dance Days)

Participants for this course are accepted through successful application only.

Summer Dance Course

Summer Dance Course is the most advanced youth course that NDCWales offer. The week focuses on developing contemporary technique, creative and choreographic skills, whilst also giving participants a taste of working life in a professional company.

The course is devised by our Artistic Director, Caroline Finn, and includes class, company repertoire and creative sessions, taught by current and former Company dancers (dependent on availability due to touring).

Suitable for those who have been attending regular dance classes for at least three years and want to develop to a professional level, or are already in a full-time vocational training program.

Participants for this course are accepted through successful application only. Spaces are limited.

The Dance House is a world-class production facility as well as a performance and rehearsal space, awarded Fit to Dance Space status.
