National Dance Company Wales at British Council Showcase in Edinburgh 2017
National Dance Company Wales has been chosen to be one of 30 companies performing at the British Council Showcase at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival from 21-26 August 2017.
The company will be performing Caroline Finn's award-winning Folk and Roy Assaf's Profundis at Zoo Venue. Tickets will be on sale from June.
Artistic Director Caroline Finn said:
We are absolutely thrilled to have been selected for the British Council showcase at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year. It is so encouraging to feel that the company's work is being so enthusiastically received and that there is a desire to enable us to share it with more people. We are hoping this will lead to exciting new performance and exchange opportunities for NDCWales in the future. The two works which have been selected for us to perform, Folk and Profundis, are vibrant, contrasting and rich in emotion and I feel they really showcase the virtuosity of the company at the moment.”
NDCWales will be joining other Welsh companies Volcano Theatre and Light Ladd and Emberton as part of the British Council Showcase in Edinburgh.
